Abstract:
Provided are an RFID tag reading method, reading method, reading system, reader device, and an article, which are effective in preventing fraud with respect to an RFID tag. A method for reading an RFID tag (21) having a loop antenna (27) and accommodated inside a case (5a) of an article (5), said reading method for an RFID tag (21) comprising a step (S1) in which a reader device (3) equipped with a linear antenna (51) having a distal-end part (51a), which is an open end, is used, and the distal-end part (51a) of the linear antenna (51) is inserted into the case (5a) through a hole (5b) formed in the case (5a), a step (S2) in which the linear antenna (51) inserted into the case (5a) and the loop antenna (27) of the RFID tag (21) are magnetically coupled, and a step (S3) in which tag information stored in the RFID tag (21) is read by the reader device (3).
