The present invention provides a rigid endoscope having a large field of view, comprising a sleeve. A camera module and an illumination component are provided in the sleeve; the illumination component is located on one side of the camera module; the camera module is located at the front end of the sleeve of the rigid endoscope; the camera module comprises a lens module, an image sensor and a circuit board; the lens module is connected to the image sensor; the image sensor is electrically connected to the circuit board; an included angle, which is not zero, is formed between the optical axis of the lens module and the central axis of the sleeve. By adopting the technical solution of the present invention, the camera module is directly mounted at the front end of the rigid endoscope, so that a large field of view is realized, a conventional complex structure adopting a beam-turning prism, an objective lens and an image transmission lens is avoided, and moreover, because the beam-turning prism is not adopted, the limitation of the beam-turning prism on the field of view of the lens is avoided.
