Abstract:
A rotary electric machine armature (1) comprises: an armature core (2); and coil (3). The coil (3) is formed by connecting a plurality of segment conductors (4) to each other. The segment conductors (4) each have a conductor side part (41) that extends along an axial direction (L). Each conductor side part (41) is provided with a joint part (43). Each joint part (43) has a facing surface (44). The joint parts (43) of a pair of segment conductors (4) are joined to each other in a state where the facing surfaces (44) of the joint parts (43) face each other, and the facing surfaces (44) each have a part that faces in a radial direction (R) and are formed such that the facing surfaces (44) have no overlapping parts therebetween when viewed in the radial direction (R) over the entirety of the facing surfaces (44).
