Abstract:
A rotary electric machine (10) that comprises a field element (40) and an armature (50). A magnet part (42) has: a plurality of first magnets (1131) that have magnetic paths that follow the radial direction; and a plurality of second magnets (1132) that have magnetic paths that follow the circumferential direction. The first magnets (1131) are arranged at a prescribed interval in the circumferential direction, and the second magnets (1132) are arranged between the first magnets (1131). The magnet part (42) and a field element core member (43) are laminated in the radial direction. When the residual magnetic flux density of the magnet part (42) is Br, the saturation magnetic flux density of the field element core member (43) is Bsc, the length of a not-armature-side circumferential surface of the first magnets (1131) is Ma, and the thickness of the field element core member (43) is Wsc, the magnet part (1131) and the field element core member (43) satisfy Br×Ma≤Bsc×Wsc.
