Abstract:
In order to provide a rotary electric machine that reduces the conduction of heat to a bearing and the conduction of heat from a rotor core, both due to internal air, thereby inhibiting temperature increases of the bearing, and that improves the bearing lubrication life, the present invention is a rotary electric machine comprising: a rotor that has a shaft; a stator that is disposed opposite the rotor so as to have a prescribed gap (air gap) therebetween, and is supported by a stator frame; a bearing that rotatably supports the shaft; and an end bracket that holds the bearing, said rotary electric machine being characterized in that a heat-insulating layer that prevents the flow of heat to the bearing is provided to the machine-internal side of the end bracket.
