Abstract:
A rotating electric machine unit according to the present disclosure comprises: a rotating electric machine; a power conversion device which is disposed side by side with the rotating electric machine along the axial direction and which has a capacitor unit and a plurality of power modules; and a first cooling part in which a first cooling passage allowing passage of a refrigerant therethrough is formed and which cools the power conversion device. The first cooling passage has: an inlet passage; a first passage which branches off from the inlet passage and is formed at a position overlapping a first group of the power modules when viewed in the axial direction; a second passage which branches off from the inlet passage and is formed at a position overlapping a second group of the power modules when viewed in the axial direction; a third passage which branches off from the inlet passage and is formed at a position overlapping the capacitor unit when viewed in the axial direction; and an outlet passage in which the refrigerant from the first passage, the second passage, and the third passage joins and through which the refrigerant is discharged from the first cooling part. The outlet passage is contiguous to a second cooling passage formed in a second cooling part for cooling the rotating electric machine.
