Abstract:
A rotating electric machine (10) is provided with a field element (40) including a magnet portion (42) having a plurality of magnetic poles with alternate polarities in the circumferential direction, and an armature (50) including multiple-phase armature windings (51). One of the field element and the armature is the rotor. The armature winding of each phase is configured of a parallel-connected body of a plurality of leads (89a to 89d). In the armature winding of each phase, the parts arranged at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction at positions opposing the magnet portion comprise lead portions (81). In each lead portion, at least one layer of leads is arranged in the radial direction, and a plurality of leads are arranged side by side in the circumferential direction. In each of lead portions of the same phase adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction, the position in which the same lead is arranged differs when viewed from the axial direction of the rotor, with the relative position relationship of the leads being maintained.
