Title:
ROTATING ELECTRICAL MACHINE ROTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/155042
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A rotating electrical machine rotor comprises a rotor iron core disposed on the outer circumferential side of the rotor shaft and a plurality of magnetic poles secured to the rotor iron core and arranged in the circumferential direction of the rotor iron core. The rotating electrical machine rotor further comprises a nonmagnetic ring attached by insertion to the outer circumferences of the magnetic poles and having a substantially polygonal outer circumferential shape. The nonmagnetic ring has an inner circumferential length (L) before assembly that satisfies a relationship of L ≤ L0, where L0 is the length of an envelope curve consisting of tangent lines of a magnetic-pole outer circumferential surface and an adjacent magnetic-pole outer circumferential surface. The rotating electrical machine rotor can be reduced in size and cost.
