Title:
ROTATING ELECTRICAL MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/170938
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A rotating electrical machine generates mist by scooping up cooling oil with the lower end of a non-load-side end plate (18), circulates the air containing the mist with a centrifugal fan provided on a load-side end plate (17), and forms a circulating air flow in which air flows in mutually opposite directions between a first through-hole (13) inside a rotor core (15) and an air duct outside a rotor (2). Such a cooling mechanism enables mist generated in any one location in a housing to be supplied by carrying the mist on the circulating air flow to each location to all regions inside the machine, and can thus efficiently cool both the rotor (2) and a stator (3) with a limited amount of mist.
