Abstract:
Provided is a rotation angle detecting device (50) applied to a rotary electric machine (29) comprising: an outer rotor (40) rotating about an axial line; and a stator (30) provided radially inward of the outer rotor. The rotation angle detecting device comprises: a to-be-detected part (52) that is attached to the outer rotor; and a detection unit (54) that is arranged radially outward of the stator so as to be facing the to-be-detected part, and that detects the position of the to-be-detected part.
