Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a rotation detection device capable of avoiding collision between a shaft-like body and a rotating body even if there is a rotating body attachment error or manufacturing error and capable of suppressing component damage and displacement even if there is a collision. [Solution] A shaft-like body serving as an object to be inspected can be inserted into a wheel part from the front along the axis of rotation. The wheel part rotates around the axis of rotation in accordance with the rotation of the shaft-like body. In the wheel part, a flange part that widens away from the axis of rotation is provided on the front end of a cylindrical part into which the shaft-like body is inserted. A casing part comprises a cover part having, formed therein, a hollow-cylinder-shaped opening part into which the shaft-like body is inserted. The cover part and wheel part are engaged with each other such that the opening part is positioned inside the flange part.
