Abstract:
Provided are a rotation method and inspection method whereby the entire surface of a spherical body can be stably confirmed, and a bearing manufacturing method which uses the inspection method. In the rotation method, a step is performed in which a conical first cone (1a) having a first rotary shaft (2a) is brought into contact with a spherical body (21) which is a rotated object at a first point of contact of the spherical body (21) from a first direction aligned with the first rotary shaft (2a), and a conical second cone (1b) having a second rotary shaft (2b) is brought into contact with the spherical body (21) at a second point of contact different from the first point of contact of the spherical body (21) from the first direction, and a step is performed in which the spherical body (21) is rotated about a center of rotation which is an axis extending in a direction aligned with a line segment connecting the first point of contact and the second point of contact in a state in which the first cone (1a) and the second cone (1b) are pressed against the spherical body (21) relative to each other from the first direction. In the rotation step the rotation speed of the second rotary shaft (2b) varies relative to the rotation speed of the first rotary shaft (2a).
