Abstract:
Provided are a round bar steel conditioning facility and conditioning method in which the layout of a round bar steel conveying line, from a charging bed to a discharging bed, is devised to enable the overall size to be made more compact. In a round bar steel conditioning facility (1): a first conveying line (12) in which a bend straightening machine (13) is installed is formed in such a way as to extend in a straight line; a second conveying line (15) in which a chamfering machine (16) is installed is formed in such a way as to extend in a straight line from close to a terminal end portion (12b) of the first conveying line (12), in a direction perpendicular to the first conveying line (12); and a third conveying line (17) in which a magnetic flux leakage flaw detector (18) and an ultrasound flaw detector (22) are installed is formed in such a way as to extend in a straight line from close to a terminal end portion (15b) of the second conveying line (15), in a direction perpendicular to the second conveying line (15) and facing the first conveying line (12) on the same side thereas.
