Abstract:
Disclosed is a rubber composition, wherein at least one kind of a rubber component selected from a natural rubber and a synthetic rubber is blended with a resin composition containing a novolac-type resorcin resin and a resol-type phenolic resin, which has a dimethylene ether group content within a definite range, thereby improving the curability of the resin composition, without using hexamethylenetetramine or hexamethoxymethylmelamine as a curing agent, and the heat stability of the same and imparting high elasticity, large elongation at breakage and low heat build-up to the rubber composition. Also disclosed is a tire which comprises the aforesaid rubber composition in the tire bead part thereof and, therefore, has improved durability in using while concerning for the environmental safety.
