Abstract:
Provided is a rubber composition for a tire, said rubber composition containing clay and exhibiting rubber hardness, strength and processability which are improved so as to equal or exceed the levels of a conventional rubber composition for a tire. A rubber composition characterized in that: the composition is obtained by blending 100 parts by weight of a diene-based rubber with 30 to 100 parts by weight of carbon black and 10 to 80 parts by weight of an inorganic filler; the content of particles having diameters of 5μm or less in the inorganic filler is 20 to 80%; and when the aluminum content of the inorganic filler is represented by Wal (wt%) and the silicon content thereof is represented by Wsi (wt%), the aluminum content, Wal, is 11 to 40wt%, while the ratio of aluminum to the total of aluminum and silicon, Wal/(Wal+Wsi)×100, is 15 to 38wt%.
