Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a rubber composition which is excellent in terms of low heat buildup property, high modulus, and crack propagation resistance. This rubber composition includes carbon black, a bismaleimide compound, and a hydrazide compound, and is characterized in that the bismaleimide compound is represented by general formula (I), the hydrazide compound is represented by general formula (II), and the carbon black has a nitrogen-adsorption specific surface area (N2SA) less than 40 m2/g and, when examined as a compact specimen, has an oil absorption (COAN) of 60 ml/100 g or greater, the content of the carbon black being 35 parts by mass or higher but less than 45 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component.
