Abstract:
Provided is a rubber composition for tires with which it is possible to reduce heat generation while ensuring a good balance of hardness and elongation in the sidewalls, and to achieve a high level of both these aspects of performance. 30 parts by mass or more of carbon black having a CTAB adsorption specific surface area of 100 m2/g or less are blended into 100 parts by mass of a conjugated diene copolymer comprising 20–60 mass% of a first conjugated diene-based copolymer containing an isoprene component, and 40–80 mass% of a second conjugated diene-based copolymer containing syngiotacticic-1,2-polybutadiene, the syngiotacticic-1,2-polybutadiene used has a crystallization component content of 90% or more, a melting point of 130°C or less, and a glass transition temperature Tg of −20°C or more, and the crystallization component in the second conjugated diene-based copolymer is 30 mass% or less.
