Abstract:
The invention is applicable to swimming pools, water areas and play areas, for minimising the risk of accidents and contusions caused by slipping or collisions of swimmers, sportspeople or users, using an assembly formed by various configurations of a rigid support or base (1) consisting of a cement, ceramic, porcelain or other construction material, and an elastic tile (2) consisting of a plastic material, such as polyolefins, silicons, polyurethanes, natural and artifical rubber, or another type of polymer, combined or separated, with elastic mechanical properties. The safety edging according to the invention is to be applied to the corners and rims of straight and curved swimming pools, with hydrofuge, anti-slip, hygienic, aesthetic and/or signalling properties.
