A safety switch by which the safety of a worker in a dangerous zone is secured when an unlocking means is returned to an original state. The safety switch is provided at a gateway for exit/entrance to the dangerous zone in which a machine is installed and allows the operation of the machine when the gateway is closed by a door and locked, and does not allow the operation of the machine when the gateway is not closed and unlocked. The safety switch comprises a locking/unlocking part having a locking part and an unlocking part for releasing the lock by manual operation from the dangerous zone side, and a safety side operation part for operating the locking/unlocking part from the safety zone. The locking part includes an eccentric cam (13), an operation rod (20), and a locking part body. The locking part body includes a solenoid (50), a moving body (51), and energizing means (52, 54). The unlocking part includes an unlocking push button (22), an operation shaft (21), a first cam (26), and a body to be moved (31). The safety side operation part includes a push button (23) for returning and the operation shaft (21).
