Abstract:
A section detecting device detects a section having a cage from a plurality of sections continuing in the cage moving direction, and detects the presence or absence of the cage at a switching position located at the boundary of the individual sections. A movement detecting device generates a signal responding to the movement of the cage. A processing device determines the speed of the cage on the basis of the information from the movement detecting device, and determines the position of the cage after the cage passed through the switching position. The processing device is set with both a floor passing velocity standard containing a section standard level determined individually for each section, and a continuous passing velocity standard made at or higher than the floor passing velocity standard for all the sections. The processing device specifies the section, in which the cage resides when stopped, as a stop section, and decides whether or not the cage velocity is the passing velocity, when the cage is within the stop section, by comparing the floor passing velocity standard and the velocity of the cage, and whether or not the cage velocity is the passing velocity, when the cage is outside of the stop section, by comparing the continuous passing velocity standard and the velocity of the cage.
