Abstract:
A scintillator unit according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a substrate; a scintillator columnar crystal layer layered on the substrate; and a moisture-proof member which faces the crystal growth side of the scintillator columnar crystal layer and maintains a gap with a conical surface of the distal end of the scintillator columnar crystal layer, and which, in cooperation with the substrate, retains the scintillator columnar crystal layer so that a moisture-proof state exists between the substrate and the scintillator columnar crystal layer. The scintillator unit can therefore exhibit the inherent performance (resolution and luminance) of the scintillator columnar crystal.
