Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a folder type screen extendable portable terminal that selectively implements a large screen using a sheet-like flexible display element provided on an outer surface of a pair of foldable housings and, more specifically to a screen extendable portable terminal that can securely protect a side of the screen extendable portable terminal, which is a folded area of the flexible display element, from damage, and that can extend the function thereof. The disclosure provides a screen extendable portable terminal as a first invention, the terminal comprising: a pair of housings of which one side is foldable on the other side; a sheet-like flexible display element that is continuously provided on an outer surface of the pair of housings, wherein the flexible display element has a folded area that is folded by a folding operation of the pair of housings; and a multi-functional unit, coupled to at least any one of the pair of housings to be relatively movable, for selectively covering the folded area.
