Provided is a screw compressor in which air and the like can be prevented from being mixed into steam in a compression chamber and compression performance can be improved.　This screw compressor comprises a casing 2 that forms a compression chamber together with a tooth part 3 of a male rotor 1, an intake-side bearing 6 that rotatably supports an intake-side shaft part 4 connected to one axial side of the tooth part 3 of the male rotor 1, a discharge-side bearing 7 that rotatably supports a discharge-side shaft part 5 connected to the axially opposite side of the tooth part 3 of the male rotor 1, intake-side seals 14A, 14B that are provided around the intake-side shaft part 4 so as to be positioned between the compression chamber and the intake-side bearing 6, and discharge-side seals 19A, 19B that are provided around the discharge-side shaft part 5 so as to be positioned between the compression chamber and the discharge-side bearing 7. The screw compressor has an intake-side water supply hole 16 that opens into an intake-side gap 15 formed around the intake-side shaft part 4 so as to be adjacent to the compression chamber without any intake-side seal interposed therebetween, the intake-side water supply hole 16 allowing supply of water to the intake-side gap 15.
