Abstract:
This screw compressor comprises a compressor body incorporating a compression mechanism for compressing a fluid containing refrigerant and refrigerating machine oil, and an oil separator communicating with the compressor body and separating refrigerating machine oil from the fluid compressed by the compression mechanism. The oil separator has an oil separation section that centrifugally separates refrigerating machine oil from the fluid compressed by the compression mechanism, an oil storage section that stores the refrigerating machine oil centrifugally separated by the oil separation section, an oil level sensor that is provided in the oil storage section and detects the oil level of the refrigerating machine oil stored in the oil storage section, and a strainer having a plurality of oil flow holes and capturing foreign matters in the refrigerating machine oil. The oil storage section has a partition wall that divides the internal space of the oil storage section into a first oil storage space into which refrigerating machine oil flows from the oil separation section, and a second oil storage space in which the oil level sensor is provided. The partition wall has a communication hole that communicates the first oil storage space with the second oil storage space, and the strainer is placed in the communication hole or between the oil level sensor and the communication hole in the second oil storage space.
