Abstract:
Provided is a scroll compressor including: a shell; a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll that are disposed inside the shell; base plates that are provided individually for the fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll; spiral bodies that are provided on the individual base plates and that form a plurality of compression spaces by being engaged with each other; and a sealing member that is installed by being inserted into a groove provided on a distal end of the spiral body of the orbiting scroll along the spiral direction and that is brought into sliding contact with the base plate of the fixed scroll. The sealing member is installed such that a seal-shape center line thereof in the width direction of the spiral body is located at a position closer to an outer surface of the spiral body than a groove-shape center line in the groove is.
