Abstract:
This seawater electrolysis system is provided with: an electrode (30) which comprises a negative electrode (C) and a positive electrode (A) that is formed of titanium coated with a coating material that contains iridium oxide; an electrolytic cell main body (20) that contains the positive electrode (A) and the negative electrode (C); and a power supply device (40) that passes current between the positive electrode (A) and the negative electrode (C) so that the current density on the electrode surfaces is 20 A/dm2 or more. This seawater electrolysis system electrolyzes seawater that is contained in the electrolytic cell main body (20).
