Abstract:
The present invention provides a secondary battery capable of not only absorbing shocks more sufficiently but also reducing more sufficiently the risk of an electrode being exposed in the secondary battery and the risk of a separator being nipped between components of an exterior body. A secondary battery 100A according to the present invention includes: roll-type electrode assembly 5 in which a positive electrode 1, a negative electrode 2, and a separator 3 disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode are rolled; and a power collector tab 7 disposed at one end of the rolling in the axial direction P, wherein the roll-type electrode assembly 5 has a separator extension 30 where the separator 3 extends more than the positive electrode 1 and the negative electrode 2 at the other end of the rolling in the axial direction P, and the separator 3 has a projecting bent shape (region K) toward the outer circumferential side n1 of the rolling in at least a part of the separator extension 30 in a sectional view along the axis of the rolling.
