This secondary battery system in which a plurality of battery cells are connected in series is configured such that: the battery cells are provided with tab groups each projecting from a battery storage part of the corresponding battery cell with the surfaces of a positive electrode tab and a negative electrode tab opposed to each other; the tab groups have connection surfaces connecting the tabs between the battery cells adjacent to each other; and the connection surfaces of the positive electrode tab and the negative electrode tab are arrayed in series. Bus bars are provided so as to face the connection surfaces and to extend along the array direction of the connection surfaces, and the bus bars are connected to the tab groups so that the direction of current distributing through the bus bars is reverse to that of current circulating through the connection surfaces. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a secondary battery system that can reduce impedance caused by influences of wiring inductance resulting from battery serialization and inductance inside the batteries at a high frequency band.
