Abstract:
A secondary cell is provided with: a plurality of electrode groups, which include a plurality of positive electrodes, a plurality of negative electrodes, and at least one separator, the positive electrodes and the negative electrodes being alternately layered with the separator interposed therebetween; and an electrode body having at least one metal plate placed between the electrode groups. The electrodes placed at both ends of the electrode groups are negative electrodes. The metal plate is provided in a state in contact with a mixed layer of the negative electrodes that configure at least one electrode group, and not in contact with electroconductive materials other than the mixed layer.
