Abstract:

A section setting method calculates information relating to an attainable actual mileage under a vehicle operation performed in consideration of a mileage. To that end, the section setting method collects mileage information that is information relating to the mileage required for a movement from a start point to a destination point of the vehicle, which is obtained under a plurality of kinds of vehicle operations, along with positional information of the vehicle in each case. The section setting method compares transition parts of the collected mileage information with each other, thereby sequentially connecting the transition parts of the mileage information from the start point to the destination point. The section setting method sets a section obtained by sectioning with points corresponding to the connection points of the transition parts connected as a section used to calculate the actual mileage.
