Abstract:
The invention relates to a vehicle braking system (1), including an actuation pedal (2) pivotably mounted in a pedal assembly (7), and a device (3) for controlling the breaks, said pedal (2) interacting with an actuation rod (10) secured to said device (3) such that the rotation of the pedal (2) about the pedal support (7) by means of pressure exerted on said pedal (2) causes a linear movement of said rod (10) along the longitudinal axis thereof so as to trigger said control device (3). The main characteristic of a braking system according to the invention is that the pedal (2) has a round projection (17). The interaction between the pedal (2) and the rod (10) is achieved by placing said projection (17) in contact with said rod (10), said contact being caused by pressure on said pedal (2).
