Abstract:
A secure area (100) includes a CPU (110) that operates within this secure area (100), and a small-capacity memory (140). The CPU (110) obtains, in an encrypted condition, first information containing a secret value and second information containing various programs, master keys, etc., from a secret input path IF (170). The CPU (110) decrypts the first information and the second information, and stores the first information in the memory (140). The CPU (110) generates a unique encryption key on the basis of the first information, encrypts the second information by using the unique encryption key, and requests an external main CPU (51) to store the encrypted second information in an externally located NVRAM (60).
