Abstract:
Disclosed is a self-ligating orthodontic bracket which is fixed to the tooth for use in an orthodontic procedure. The self-ligating orthodontic bracket disclosed herein comprises: a bracket body including a slot which is formed in a first direction and in which a wire is inserted, and a guide unit which is formed in a second direction crossing the first direction; a door which is installed on the guide unit of the bracket body to be able to reciprocate and opens/closes the slot; and a clamper which is installed between the bracket body and the door, and is elastically transformed so as to allow the door to move when a certain force is applied to the door in the second direction. The clamper comprises: a coupling pin which is installed on the bracket body so that one end portion thereof protrudes above the guide unit; and an elastic loop which is a hollow single closed loop installed on one surface of the door, the surface facing the guide unit.
