Abstract:
The present invention provides a self-luminous screen that excels in safety, and a display system. A self-luminous screen provided with a phosphor layer 11 including a phosphor, and a first transparent substrate 12, the phosphor layer 11 being in contact with a first principal surface 12a of the first transparent substrate 12, and the first transparent substrate 12 being of a single-layer structure or of a multilayer structure, in which x layers (where x is an integer of 2 or greater) are laminated, and satisfying formula 1. Formula 1: n2 - n1 > 0, where n1 indicates the refractive index of the first transparent substrate 12 when the first transparent substrate 12 is of a single-layer structure, or indicates the refractive index of a layer, from among the x layers, that is closest to the first-principal-surface 12a side when the first transparent substrate 12 is of a multilayer structure, and n2 indicates the refractive index of a matrix of the phosphor layer 11.
