Abstract:
Disclosed are a self-moving device and a control method therefor. The self-moving device comprises a communication module, the communication module comprising a WiFi module. The method comprises the following steps: S1: the self-moving device scanning a gateway device via a WiFi module to acquire a MAC address of the scanned gateway device; and S2: based on the MAC address, acquiring position related information about the self-moving device. In the self-moving device and the control method therefor given in the present invention, a WiFi module scanning a MAC address of a gateway device can automatically recognise position related information about the self-moving device, which can not only automatically recognise whether the self-moving device has been stolen, but can also locate the self-moving device in real time, and when the self-moving device is lost, the self-moving device can be effectively tracked. The positioning method does not require the addition of a positioning device, such as a GPS module, on the self-moving device, which is advantageous for reducing product costs.
