Abstract:
A semiconductor device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is provided with: a first substrate; a TFT element, which is provided on the first substrate with a first interlayer insulating layer therebetween, and includes a semiconductor layer and a gate electrode provided on the semiconductor layer with a gate insulating layer therebetween; and a second substrate disposed facing the first substrate, wherein the gate electrode has, from the semiconductor layer side, a first conductive film and a second conductive film which has light shielding properties, and the second conductive film extends from the sides to bottoms of a pair of openings between which the semiconductor layer is provided.
