Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to reduce the number of clocks required for switching an address.
A semiconductor device comprises: a first test pad; a first address holding circuit which holds address data having a plurality of bits serially input from the first test pad while converting the address data into parallel data to output the parallel data in accordance with an update signal activated in response to a signal input from the first test pad; a second address holding circuit which receives the address data from the first address holding circuit and holds the address data; a third address holding circuit which receives the address data from the second address holding circuit in accordance with a first control signal and holds the address data; a control circuit which generates an internal control signal in accordance with a plurality of control signals including the first control signal; and an internal circuit which operates in response to the internal control signal.
