Abstract:
Provided is a semiconductor driving device that includes: a first control means that, when an overcurrent running between a first principal electrode and a second principal electrode of a switching element is detected, electrically connects a gate of the switching element and a predetermined reference potential so as to decrease a control voltage applied across the gate and the first principal electrode, thereby turning off the switching element; a detection means that detects a current that is generated when a feedback capacitor between the gate and the second principal electrode is charged or discharged; and a second control means that decreases a resistance value between the gate and the reference potential when the overcurrent and the current generated upon the charging or discharging of the feedback capacitor are detected.
