Abstract:
A sensor failure detection method is a method for detecting at least one failure of a plurality of sensors in a motor drive system, said method having: a step for executing a calculation (A) for determining a counter electromotive force error Ver using an αβ fixed coordinate system or a dq rotary coordinate system for reference, wherein in this step, the calculation (A) is executed based on current Iα, Iβ on the αβ axes of the αβ fixed coordinate system, on reference voltages Vα*, Vβ* on the αβ axes, and on an electrical angle θe of a rotor, and the counter electromotive force error Ver is expressed as a function of the error between an estimated phase angle ρs, and a measured phase angle ρ based on the sensor values measured using a plurality of the sensors; and a step for detecting failure on the basis of the counter electromotive force error Ver.
