Abstract:

[Problem] To provide: a separating apparatus in which it is possible, with a simple structure, to separate an article to be separated having very little blending of impurities from a fluid specimen that includes two or more components which are incompatible with each other and have different specific gravities; a separating method in which it is possible, with a simple technique, to more efficiently separate an article to be separated having very little blending of impurities from a fluid specimen that includes two or more components which are incompatible with each other and have different specific gravities; a separating device; an inspection apparatus; and an inspection method. [Solution] A separating apparatus having: a separation unit that applies an external force to a fluid specimen that includes two or more components which are incompatible with each other and have different specific gravities, and separates the fluid specimen into an article to be separated and an article not to be separated; and a transport mechanism that applies pressure to the article to be separated that was separated by the separation unit and transports the article to be separated.
