Abstract:
The present invention provides a separator for electricity storage devices, which has excellent permeability of ions such as lithium ions and is capable of constituting a high-performance electricity storage device such as a lithium ion battery and a capacitor, and which is not susceptible to rapid decrease of the discharge capacity or short circuit between a positive electrode and a negative electrode due to dendrite even in cases where this separator for electricity storage devices is used for high output applications. A separator for electricity storage devices according to the present invention contains a synthetic resin film having micropores, and has an air resistance of from 30 sec/100 mL/16 μm to 100 sec/100 mL/16 μm (inclusive). In a small-angle X-ray scattering measurement (SAXS) of this separator for electricity storage devices, the scattering vector q has a first scattering peak in the stretching direction within the range from 0.0030 nm-1 to 0.0080 nm-1 (inclusive).
