Abstract:

Provided are a server device, a communication terminal, a route search system, and a computer program which make it possible to set a currently most appropriate guide route for a moving body. Specifically, if a start condition of a route search is satisfied, a communication terminal 5 searches for a route from a departure point to a destination on the basis of terminal-side map information 48 which the communication terminal 5 has, and route information specifying consecutive link strings corresponding to a prescribed distance from the departure point regarding a terminal-recommended route, which is the searched route, is transmitted to a server device 3 along with a route search request. Meanwhile, if the route search request is received, the server device 3 searches for a route from the departure point to the destination including at least some of the link strings specified by the route information and distributes the searched route to the communication terminal 5.
