Abstract:
This setting assistance device (10) assists in a connection setting between an input and output unit of a programmable logic controller and an input and output apparatus to be connected to the input and output unit. An input unit (110) receives a user's operation for selecting the input and output unit and the input and output apparatus. A specification data acquisition unit (101) acquires first electrical specification data which indicates the electrical specifications of the input and output unit, which are selected by a user through the input unit (110). The specification data acquisition unit (101) acquires second electrical specification data which indicates the electrical specifications of the input and output apparatus, which are selected by the user through the input unit (110). A determination unit (102) determines whether the input and output apparatus can be connected to the input and output unit on the basis of whether the specifications indicated by the first electrical specification data are suitable for the specifications indicated by the second electrical specifications.
