Abstract:
In order to reduce restrictions on assembly work and improve reliability of shield performance, this shield terminal (T) comprises: an inner conductor (52) connected to a front end section of a core wire (62) of a shielded wire (60); a dielectric (46) housing the inner conductor (52); a cylindrical member (12) constituting an outer conductor (10) and encircling and holding the dielectric (46); a pair of half-split shells (18, 35) being separate components to the cylindrical member (12), constituting the outer conductor (10), and being connected to a front end section of a shield layer (65) of the shielded wire (60); and a first covering section (19) and a second covering section (36) that are formed in a lower member (18) and an upper member (35), respectively, and encircle the entire circumference of the core wire (62) between the rear end of the cylindrical member (12) and the front end of the shield layer (65).
