Description:
SHISHA MOLASSES CAPSULES

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention generally relates to tobacco smoking devices and packages of tobacco for use in hookah pipe assemblies [also known as Shisha] and other similar devices. More specifically, the present invention relates to a prepackaged capsule, containing a specific volume of smokable material, for use in the hookah.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Hookah smoking has been part of the Asian and Middle Eastern culture for centuries and is a social custom which is primarily used in groups. Hookah smoking is a popular method of smoking tobacco, wherein the smoke is drawn through a water pipe apparatus. Shisha, which is generally a molasses flavored tobacco, is placed on an inlet of the hookah device, wh ich is in contact with burning charcoal to initiate the smoke that wi l l be ultimately inhaled by the user. Once the smoke is generated, the smoke from the shisha travels through the hookah bowl and into a volume of water, wherein it is cooled prior to be drawn through the pipe to the user's mouth. Traditionally, the shisha is being filled in to the hookah bowl using forceps/tongs which is inefficient and cumbersome. Th is also can lead to inconsistencies and the experience of smoking sh isha wi l l vary depending on the quantity of the product being placed in the hookah bowl. Therefore, in order to place a uniform quantity of shisha into the bowl, a better and convenient way to handle the shisha, an improved device is needed. Furthermore, the tobacco used for hookahs is mixed with sugar molasses and other ingredients [such as glycerin] depending on the user and has a moisture content of 25 - 40% by weight in the countries where high moisture content is permitted. Such mixtures are usually offered in tins and can dry out during prolonged storage. The present invention precisely bypasses the disadvantage known in the prior art and helps the user to directly apply the coals onto a prepackaged sh isha capsule. The disclosed device provides superior convenience and improved utility over the trad itional methods of preparing a hookah bowl .

The present invention is prepackaged double or single sided capsule containing smokable materials having an internal volume which contains defined quantity of sh isha or sim ilar tobacco product(s), which in turn is placed into a hookah bowl. The said double sided capsules [ 1 10, 1 1 1 ] have removable seals [ 1 1 5, 1 16] to keep the product intact within the capsule, a base foil latch [ 1 12] which comprises the centre element of the invention, which is used to lock the capsules onto the hookah bowl or head.

None of the cited prior art devices have sim ilar design and structural elements for storing a pre-measured amount of tobacco, which wi ll ensure freshness of the encapsulated smokable material and for providing a double sided capsule for holding the tobacco content. For example, United States appl ication publ ished under no. 2007/0215 164 discloses a disposable hookah bowl wh ich uses a moisture seal for protecting the tobacco content placed inside. The disclosed invention fail to describe the structure and intent of the present invention and also fail to disclose a double sided capsule design. Another prior art is United States Patent no. 3,792,704 wherein a tobacco pipe smoking system along with the tobacco capsule are disclosed. The disadvantage of the same being the tobacco capsule and bowl being specifically designed to accommodate each other. However, the invention does not. Other prior arts include United States application numbers 6 1 /503, 1 87 and 14/390,749 which describes prepackaged disposable tobacco content for hookah. However, none of the cited prior art describes the design of the present invention, wh ich makes it a better suited device for all generic hookah devices and providing a better experience of using the hookah.

It is therefore submitted that the devices disclosed by the prior art do not address the need for maintaining the freshness of tobacco and the predefined volume of Shisha to smoke using the hookah device. The design of the present invention makes it structurally and conceptual ly different from the prior art. Consequently it is clear that there is a need in the art for an improvement to the existing hookah tobacco capsules and smoking systems. The present invention bridges this gap in the prior art and gives a better experience for the users.

Al l references, including any patents or patent appl ications cited in this specification are hereby incorporated by reference. The Applicant makes no admission that any reference constitutes prior art - they are merely assertions by their authors and the Applicant reserves the right to contest the accuracy, pertinence and domain of the cited documents. None of the documents or references constitute an admission that they form part of the common general knowledge in any country.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the prior art regarding known type of prepackaged capsules containing smokable material, the present invention discloses an improved and pre-sealed double sided capsules containing defined volume of smokable material [such as molasses] which is util ized with a hookah system. The present invention simpl ifies the use of hookah system and reduce the preparation time.

The present invention describes tobacco capsules [ 1 10, 1 1 1 ] for use in the hookah system having a tobacco bowl for receiving tobacco. The capsu les [ 1 10, 1 1 1 ] can be used in any traditional hookah system, without the need to change the design, which is accompl ished by the use of capsule latch [ 1 12].

It is further the purpose of this invention to provide portable one time use capsules which the user can use effectively when compared to the traditional method of preparing the hookah for smoking.

It is further the purpose of this invention to prevent the syrup like substance in the capsule to get coagulated. This is achieved by providing a disposable stirring rod [ 123] placed diagonally in the capsules [ 1 10, 1 1 1 ]. Other objects and advantages wi ll become apparent from the following description and appended claims taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

The invention relates to tobacco smoking devices and packages of tobacco for use in hookah pipe assemblies [also known as Shisha] and other similar devices. More specifically, the present invention relates to a prepackaged capsule, containing a specific volume of smokable material [122], for use in the hookah. Figure 1 and Figure 2, illustrates the invention in general. In this configuration, there exists the upper capsule [110]; lower capsule [111] between which the latch [112] is conveniently placed within lower capsule lip [113] and upper capsule lip [114]. The upper capsule [110] and lower capsule [111] have a peel off [115, 116] with lower peel off lip [117] and upper peel off lip [118]. The capsules [110, 111] are arranged in such a manner that defined volume of smokable material [122] [such as molasses] can be placed. The latch [112] is designed in such a manner that the capsules [110, 111] are effectively placed on the mouth of the hookah. This enables the said capsules to be used in any generic hookah system. Figure 2 provides schematic representation of the various embodiments of the invention, its semblance and how the various elements will be assembled as described in the present invention The peel off [115, 116] is an optional element of the invention, wherein if the prepackaged capsules has peel offs [115, 166], the capsules will be perforated as shown in Figure 2, element [119], In the contrary, the user will have to make the perforations before use.

Another embodiment of the present invention is the stirring rod [123] as shown in Figure 3. Once the capsule is shaken, the said stirring rod [123] helps to chum the smokable material [122] [such as molasses], so as to avoid clogging of the content within the capsules.

Figure 4 represents schematic diagram of the double sided capsules [110,111] which represents the bonding [120] between the two capsules obtained by heat sealing [121] or other known technology used for bonding. Figure 5 represents above described embodiments placed on the hookah system. The said capsules [ 1 10, 1 1 1 ] is placed on the mouth of the hookah and clamped to the hookah using the latch [ 1 12] . The peel offs [ 1 15, 1 16] are removed and charcoal is placed on top of the capsules. The user draws air through the assembly by sucking on the working end of the hookah hose. This draws air from the ambient environment through the coals and into the capsule, lighting the shisha an initiation of burning thereof. Smoke generated from this process is drawn through the outlet of the capsule, through the bowl and into the hookah. After passing through the water jar of the hookah, the smoke enters the mouth of the user, wherein it is enjoyed for its flavoring.

The aforementioned capsule can be single sided as shown in Figure 6. Figure 6 represents the perspective view of the single sided capsules [ 1 1 1 ] along with the hookah system. The said figure is just an i llustration showing that the same invention can be of single and double sided capsule.
