Abstract:
This shock absorber has: a first channel in which a working fluid flows out from one chamber inside a cylinder via the movement of a piston; a second channel provided in parallel to the first channel; a disc that is provided to the first channel and generates a damping force; a cylinder-shaped spool member capable of modifying the biasing force on the disc by moving in an axial direction; a pilot chamber that is provided to the second channel, and that, on the inner circumferential side of the spool member, generates a biasing force, for the disc, in the spool member; and a closing member that blocks the flow from the pilot chamber to another chamber and is provided so as to be movable with respect to the spool member.
