Abstract:
The present invention relates to a shopping cart having an RFID and a calculation system using same, the shopping cart having the RFID equipped with an RFID reader inside the shopping cart for reading only the tag of a product received inside the shopping cart while purchasing products, and preventing reading of the tag of a product outside the shopping cart, thereby preventing errors in settlement amount calculation. To this end, the shopping cart equipped with an RFID reader of the present invention comprises: a cart body that has a product receiving unit with open top portion formed thereon, shielded side surfaces, and holes formed on one side thereof; an RFID reader mounted on the inside of the cart body for reading the tag information attached to a product and detecting product information; a shielding plate mounted on one end of the hole to selectively open/close the hole; a switch mounted on one side of the cart body to transmit the hole open/close signal and control the opening/closing of the hole; a shielding plate drive unit for moving the shielding plate according to hole open/close signal of the switch; and an antenna mounted on one side of the cart body for transmitting the read product information to a calculation device.
