Title:
SIGNAL MODULATION CIRCUIT AND METHOD FOR SIGNAL MODULATION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2000/059172
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A phase signal is orthogonally modulated by an orthogonal modulator (5), and the frequency of the orthogonally modulated phase signal is converted to a carrier frequency by a frequency converter (7). An amplitude signal extracted from the modulated signal is delayed by a delay circuit (23), and an output gain signal specifying the gain of the output mean power is fed to an output signal of the delay circuit (23). An RF signal containing little out-band noise is generated even for a modulated signal having amplitude variation by combining the frequency-converted phase signal and the delayed amplitude signal added to the delayed output gain signal by a gain variation circuit (9). Therefore, an RF signal containing little out-band noise is outputted even for a modulated signal having amplitude variation.
