Abstract:
This technology relates to a signal processing device, signal processing method, program and imaging device with which it is possible to rapidly report abnormalities such as accidents. The signal processing device comprises: a recognition unit that recognizes the content of a captured image captured by an imaging unit; a text information generating unit that generates text information containing data that represents, using text, the content of the recognized captured image; and a transmission control unit which controls the transmission of the text information. This technology can be applied, for example, to a system which performs notification of vehicle abnormalities.
