Abstract:
The present disclosure involves performing failure diagnosis of a first magnetic detection unit and a second magnetic detection unit while suppressing an increase in size of a signal processing system. A signal processing method according to the present disclosure is used in a signal processing system (100) including a first magnetic detection unit (1), a second magnetic detection unit (2), and a processing unit (3). The signal processing method includes an angle calculation step and a failure diagnosis step. In the angle calculation step, a sinusoidal signal, a cosine signal, and a tangent signal are converted into a first angle signal (V51), a second angle signal (V52), and a third angle signal (V53), by using an inverse trigonometric function, respectively. In the failure diagnosis step, the failure diagnosis of the first magnetic detection unit (1) and the second magnetic detection unit (2) is performed by comparing two or more pieces of angle information among first angle information, second angle information, and third angle information.
